Second NLnet Quarterly Update
Another NLnet update, a little late because of the holiday season. Although not originally planned, this quarter was mainly about mobile support. Now that the app works as expected on web, it makes sense to also support mobile devices.
Why Electron?
There's been significant criticism about the size and the memory footprint of Electron based applications the past years. In fact, there is so much hate going towards this platform, that I feel the need to defend it, since I find it quite useful. I am not saying it’s the perfect solution for everything. Those are legitimate concerns, but as usual, it's all about trade-offs.
First NLnet Quarterly Update
Since June 2025, this project is funded through NGI0 Commons Fund, a fund established by NLnet with financial support from the European Commission's Next Generation Internet program. This is the first quarterly update that aims to inform the public about the progress of the project. The following enhancements were included in this period with the help of the NLnet foundation.
